Mangaluru: Two assistant commissioners of police promoted

Mangaluru, Jul 31: Two assistant commissioners of police (ACP) under the city police commissionerate have been promoted as superintendents of police (SP). They are among 20 officers of the deputy superintendent of police/assistant commissioner of police category officers from the state to have been promoted to the position of SP (civil/non-IPS) category.

ACP of city traffic subdivision, M Manjunath Shetty, and CCRB assistant commissioner of police, Vinay A Gaonkar have been promoted. However, their places of posting have not yet been provided.
