Bantwal, Aug 11: MLA Rajesh Naik visited and inspected the town water supply and drainage board plant at Jakribettu on Tuesday August 11. The water supply project was completed in September 2017 and should have been handed over to Bantwal municipal council after one year of maintenance. But it has not been handed over yet.

Several issues were found in Jakribettu plant. There is confusion over cost of maintenance between Bantwal municipal council and Karnataka water supply and drainage board. It was decided to hold discussions with the deputy commissioner and the district in-charge minister Kota Srinivas Poojary and call a meeting of department officials presided by the minister to solve the issues.

Karnataka city water supply and drainage board assistant executive officer Chandrashekar, municipal council chief official Leena Britto, Booda president Devadas Shetty, drainage board assistant engineer Shobha Laxmi, municipal council engineer Dominic D’ Mello, MLA’s private assistant Dinesh and plant staff members were present.
