Puttur: Rape of minor girl - POCSO case registered against accused

Puttur, Aug 15: A minor girl is pregnant after a man raped her. Sampya police have registered a case against the accused under POCSO (Protection of Children from Sexual Offences) Act.

Harish, a resident of Badagannur in the taluk had developed physical relation with a minor girl on the pretext of marrying her because of which the girl got pregnant.

As the mother of the minor girl came to know about her pregnancy, she along with an Asha worker filed a complaint on the accused in the Sampya police station. The police have duly registered a case in this connection.
