Mangaluru: Lions Club Ashoknagar installs new office bearers

Mangaluru, Aug 17: “Several people suffered during COVID-19 and the service of Ashoknagar Lions Club which provided food and items of daily need during those trying times is commendable,” said Lions district 317 first sub-district governor Vasanth Kumar Shetty. He administering oaths to the new office bearers of the club.

In the programme held at Hotel Attane, Mangaluru, Prajwal Praveen Shetty took the oath as the new president, Anush Prashanth Shetty as secretary, Kusuma U Rao as treasurer, Francis Pereira and Dr Vasanth Kumar as vice president, Manju appointing committee president, Nikhil Shetty teamer, Ranjana Boloor tile twister, M S Rao PRO and Dr Navin Shetty K as membership committee president.

Those who took oath as directors were H R Shetty, Harsha Kumar Kedage, Vasanth Shetty, Gopalan Nayar, Narayana M, Sadashiva Hegde, Ramesh Balnadu, Aremugam, Suresh Shetty, Lokesh Ullal, Shekar Shetty, Ashik Raj, Devadas Shetty, Dinesh K V, Babita Lokesh, Prashanth B Shetty, Jaryaraj Shetty, Bab Rao and Nagendra.

Sumathi Hegde extended monetary help to poor students. Lokesh Ullal introduced the guests. Dr Navin Shetty introduced new members Naresh Shetty and Rachana Bhandary. Second sub-district governor Sanjeeth Shetty, Dr Divya Vasanth Shetty, cabinet secretary Dinesh C P, treasurer Iqbal, zonal president Geetha Rao and Keshava Poojary were present.

Kanakavalli Kedige sang a prayer song. Nikhil Shetty read the code of conduct. Manju introduced the new office bearers. Former president Babita Lokesh welcomed the gathering. Kusuma U Rao rendered the vote of thanks. Prashanth B Shetty compered the programme.
