Bengaluru: Wholeheartedly welcome Centre’s 'Transparent Taxation' - Malabar Group chairman

Media Release

Bengaluru, Aug 18: Central government’s newly announced 'Transparent Taxation - Honouring the Honest' initiative will make the taxation system more transparent and is rewarding for honest taxpayers, said MP Ahammed chairman, Malabar Group.

“I wholeheartedly welcome the newly announced tax system by the Prime Minister”, MP Ahammed said in a press release. “It will be a good help for people and establishments who pay taxes regularly and correctly. By simplifying the tax structure it will add to the tax revenue of the Centre and hence will give a big boost to tax collections and contribute to the overall development of the nation," he added.

“It is imperative that tight-fisted actions should be taken against tax dodgers, black marketers and smugglers. The new tax regime is the first step towards this direction, this will go a long way in enhancing the overall tax collection of the Government," he said.

“There has been a need felt for steps to increase awareness among the public against tax evasion. School and college students should be educated about the importance of paying tax on time. By paying taxes correctly and timely, everyone is becoming a part of national development. Government, political parties and media should join hands to give this concept wide publicity. The new tax regime based on e-governance and faceless assessment will put an end to the rampant corruption by tax officials. The government should announce more stringent steps to punish tax dodgers," he added.
