Bengaluru: CM pays homage to Devaraj Urs

Bengaluru, Aug 20: Chief minister B S Yediyurappa paid homage to former chief minister D Devaraj Urs to mark his 105th birth anniversary.

The chief minister garlanded the photo of the former chief minister in Vidhana Soudha on Thursday.

Deputy chief minister and social welfare minister, Govinda M Karjol, housing minister, V Somanna, urban development minister, Byarathi Basavaraj and cooperation minister, S T Somashekar were present on the occasion.

Sadhbhavana Day

Earlier in the morning, he administered the oath of Sadhbhavana as part of the Sadhbhavana Day celebration in the Conference Hall of Vidhana Soudha.

The Sadhbhavana Day is observed to mark the death anniversary of former prime minister Rajiv Gandhi.

Deputy chief minister, Lakshman Savadi and chief secretary, T M Vijayabhaskar were present.
