Kundapur, Aug 20: Vandse block Congress staged protests on Thursday against amendments to the Land Reforms Act, Agriculture Produce Marketing Committee Act, Labour Act, corruption on purchase of items concerning corona pandemic and condemning the failure of the government in measures of relief during floods.

Congressmen went in procession from the block Congress office and protested in front of Vandse Nada office. Former Byndoor MLA K Gopala Poojary lambasted the alleged anti-people policies of the state government and the central government. Congress leader Ananta Movadi stated that the government was irresponsible in matters of coronavirus and indulged in corruption. Meanwhile, a memorandum was submitted to the state governor through the assistant tahsildar.

Vandse block Congress president, Pradeep Kumar Shetty Gudibettu, Udaya Kumar Shetty, Shekar Balegar, Sharath Shetty, Prashanth Shetty and others were present.
