Udupi: BJP Mahila Morcha donates grass for cattle in goshalas

Udupi, Aug 20: BJP Udupi district Mahila Morcha under the leadership of district president Veena S Shetty donated two loads of green grass to Neelavar goshala that is looking after deserted cattle. The grass was handed over to Pejavar Vishwaprasanna Sripada.

Udupi district BJP president, Kuyilady Suresh Nayak said that the campaign ‘Govigagi Mevu’ (fodder for cattle) that had begun with the blessings of Pejavar Sripada has created a movement in the district. “All the BJP morchas in the district have been asked to provide grass once a week. The matter is brought to the notice of the state BJP president. May the campaign that began from Billadi Prathviraj Shetty and other youngsters spread in the state,” he said.

Mahila Morcha president, Veena Shetty said that Mahila Morchas in six mandalas in the district have been asked to join hands. She requested all the Stree Shakti self-help groups to take part in the campaign.

District panchayat vice-president Sheela K Shetty, taluk panchayat member, Nalini Pradeep, Udupi rural BJP president, Veena Nayak, Mahila Morcha chief secretary, Rashmita B Shetty, Pramila Harish, vice-president Rama Shetty, secretary Vidya Pai, Ashwini, Niraja Shetty, Zubeda, Sneha Alevoor, municipal councillor, Rajani Hebbar, Mahila Morcha BJP rural president, Vasanti Poojary, secretary Shobha, Sathish Poojary Udyavar and Nischit Shetty were present.
