Bantwal, Aug 20: “BJP government is trying to snatch land provided to farmers by Congress party under the  Land Reforms Act by bringing an amendment to it. It has also brought an amendment to APMC Act and made it weak,” alleged former minister B Ramanath Rai.

He was speaking at the Janadhwani protests held by Congress party in front of B C Road Mini Vidhana Soudha against government’s anti-people policies.

“The corruption that has taken place amid coronavirus has been proved already. People who have lost houses in natural disasters do not have places to stay. Nobody listens to the grievances of the farmers,” he said.

Presidents of two blocks Baby Kunder, Sudeep Kumar Shetty, district panchayat members Chandraprakash Shetty Thumbe, B Padmashekar Jain, taluk panchayat vice president Abbas Ali, members K Sanjiva Poojary, Manjula Kushala, Dhanalaxmi Bangera, municipal council member Lukman, Vasu Poojary, Mohammed Sharif, Gangadhar, Mohan Gowda Kalmanja, Prashanth Kulal, Flossy D’Souza, Jayanti V Poojary, Aida Suresh, Suresh Poojary, Vincent Pinto, Adam Cunha, Lolakshi Shetty, Mallika Pakkala, Subhaschandra Shetty, Padmanabha Rai, advocate Chandrashekar Poojary, Sadashiva Bangera, Mohammed Nandavara, Venkappa Poojary, Chittaranjan Shetty, Madhusoodhan Shenoy and others were present.
