Udupi: CEN police SI, staff arrest two ganja peddlers in Brahmavar - Seize drugs, vehicles

Udupi, Aug 20: Ramachandra Nayak, SI of Udupi CEN police station and staff on definite information arrested in a raid near Dharmavaram auditorium, Varamballi village, Brahmavar, drug peddlers Asif Basha (38) and Riaz (29) both residents of Haridravati village, Hosanagara taluk, Shivamogga while selling ganja from inside a car on Thursday.

Police personnel also confiscated 2.38 kg of ganja worth Rs 60,000, two mobile phones of Rs 3,500 and a Maruti Dzire car worth Rs 2,50,000 from them.

A case in CEN police station under registration No. 50/2020 under section 8 (c), 20 (b)(ii), (B) NDPS Act, 1985 is registered against the suspects.
