Udupi: Man's dead body found in Indrani river

Udupi, Aug 21: An unidentified dead body of a 45-year-old man was found in the Indrani river flowing near Moodanidamboor Garadi here at about 11 pm on Thursday night August 20.

A person trying to catch fish with a hook and angler standing on the bank of the river was horrified to find the hook caught onto a dead body and fled from the site. 

The town police inspector Saktivelu rushed to the spot on being informed. Investigation assistant Vishwanath Shetty Amasebail, staff Manohar and social worker Nithyananda Olakadu got into the river and after an intense search, retrieved the dead body from the river.

The dead body is shifted and kept in Ajjarkad mortuary.
