Bantwal, Sep 1: Veteran musician playing Nadaswaram and clarinet, Kadabettu, Vagga resident Chennappa Sapalya (72) passed away due to an illness in a private hospital in Mangaluru on Monday.

He has left behind his wife, a son and two daughters. He used to play vocal instruments in Sarapady Sharabheshwara, Kadeshwalya Laxmi Narasimha temple, Nandanahitlu Vaidyanatha temple, Kadabettu Kodamanithaya Panjurli and Brahmabaidarkala garadi for the last several years.
