Udupi, Sep 1: G Shanker Frontline warriors Udupi, Mogaveera Sanghatane and PFI members cremated the last remains of a protestant COVID-19 infected poor woman in Indrali crematorium.
The woman’s three daughters had no money left with them to shift the last remains to their hometown in Ballary as they had spent all of it for the mother’s treatment. Several churches in Udupi did not permit the burial in their church premises. Therefore, written permission was obtained from the family members of the deceased and the body was cremated as per Hindu religious customs in Indrali crematorium.
Ravindra Sriyan, Chandresh Pitrodi, Vittal Karkera Bellampalli, Rafik Doddanna Gudde were present. The crematorium supervisor Nagarjuna Poojary and Manohar Karkada assisted in the burial.
