Shankaragouda Patil assumes charge as Karnataka’s Delhi representative

Bengaluru, Sep 1: A day after being appointed as Karnataka’s Delhi Represenatative with cabinet minister’s rank and status, Shankaragouda Patil assumed charge of his new post in Karnataka Bhavan at New Delhi on Tuesday, September 1.

Shankaragouda Patil was so far serving as chief minister B S Yediyurappa’s political secretary in Bengaluru with the rank and status of minister of state in Bengaluru.

Speaking after formally assuming charge, Shankaragouda Patil held a review meeting with the officials of Karnataka Bhavan and emphasized the need to work for getting central clearances for all pending projects and proposals of the state government and work in close coordination with the state and central governments.

The special resident commissioner of Karnataka Bhavan in Delhi Vijaya Ranjan Singh, additional resident commissioner GuruneethTej, deputy resident commissioner H Prasanna and other officials of the Karnataka Bhavan were present at the function.

Shankargouda Patil then visited the residence of former President Pranab Kumar Mukherji and offered a floral tribute to his mortal remains on behalf of the state government.
