Udupi: Rs 5 lac relief handed over to family of woman who died of falling in drain

Udupi, Sep 2: Gulabi, resident of Kakkunje ward, Udupi died recently after accidentally slipping and falling in a drain. MLA K Raghupathi Bhat who had recommended for the highest possible compensation to the family of the deceased has got Rs 5 lac released from the relief fund.

The MLA visited the residence of the deceased on Sep 2 and handed over the cheque of Rs 5 lac to the family of Gulabi.

Local municipal councillor Balakrishna Shetty, Karamballi Mahashakthi Centre co-convener Kishore Ambagilu, booth president Kiran Poojary, Praveen, Prashanth R Kotian, Ganesh Shet, Prathima Nayak, Udupi tahsildar Pradeep Kurdekar and revenue inspector Vishwanath were present.
