Bengaluru: Arrested in drugs racket case, Ravishankar suspended from service

Bengaluru, Sep 5: Second division assistant in transport department, B K Ravishankar, who reportedly is close to arrested sandalwood actress, Ragini Dwivedi, has been suspended from service through an order issued by the transport commissioner, pending departmental inquiry.

Ravishankar was discharging duty in the office of the senior regional transport office, Bengaluru (south). Ravishankar has been absent from office since September 3. He also has been arrested relating to drugs case and case under Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act and other acts has been registered against him. Being a government employee, he has been linked to drug case and arrested. By his act, he has brought disrepute to the department's reputation. The order said that he has been found prima facie having violated Karnataka Civil Services (conduct) rules 1966 and therefore been suspended.
