Mumbai: 70 year old Covid patient jumps to death from hospital building

Mumbai, Sep 7: On Sunday afternoon, September 6, a 70 year old Covid patient allegedly jumped out of the third floor window of Global Hub Covid Hospital and ended his life. A senior civic official said that he was admitted on August 21 and four days ago, was shifted to ICU and was responding well. The deceased was a resident of Naupada.

In a similar incident, a Covid patient from Bhiwandi aged 38 tried to end his life jumping from the third floor terrace at Revera Hospital in Vikramgad. He was shifted in the ICU at Nair hospital after sustaining serious head injuries.

Dr Ajay Sankhe, state's Covid hospital in Bhayander incharge said that the health workers counsel the Covid patients and recommended that all the Covid hospitals should have counselling cells.
