Kundapur, Sep 9: Udupi-Chikkamagaluru MP Shobha Karandlaje laid foundation stones for a bridge from Thombattu lake to Koda Bailu road and another bridge from Kuntu lake to Badabeppa, Guddeangadi on Wednesday.

She went on to say that coronavirus has caused setbacks in some of the developmental works and the government is bound to respond to the aspirations of the people. People should elect BJP candidates in the upcoming BJP elections and give priority for more developmental works.

"Prime Minister Narendra Modi has opened more than 2,000 labs for the well being of people. More than 400 categories of medicines are exported to 120 countries due to demand. I also commend the service and the dedication of the corona warriors during the pandemic," she asserted.

Local BJP leaders and engineers were present for the ceremony.

Poojas were held in the leadership of tantri Srinivas Bayari Marur and Rajendra Aithal Belve. T Raghuram Shetty Thomabattu welcomed the gathering and Ganesh Arasammakanu compered the programme.
