Udupi, Sep 12: Feeding unprivileged people continued by 'Yuva Spoorthi' after the lockdown is inspiring. A group of likeminded youths name called 'Yuva Spoorthi' Udupi has been feeding the unprivileged, hungry and shelterless of Udupi even after the lockdown.

"Our main concern is providing hygienic food to needy. We are making sure that shelterless people do not sleep on empty stomach," says a member.

All the youths are working in different fields but on Sundays they would come to extend service of giving food to homeless people. This is the third week and even their family members and friends have been extending support.

They also served meal twice a day during lockdown period for one month and distributed food kits to the needy.

"Yuva Spoorthi team will continue this service till its existence. We get satisfaction and contentment through this service," says another group member.

Prajwal, one of the members said, “We are doing this from two weeks. We have provided food to the needy during the lockdown period. As we all are working in different fields, we do not get much time to dedicate to this task. On Sundays, we distribute food packets to the needy people. We could see many such people around the city sleeping without food. Unfortunately, the number of hungry people is increasing day-by-day. We used to see them in the city, service areas, KSRTC bus stand and so on. We posted our service in Instagram and our friends came forward and joined hands with us. We are not doing it for any fame or publicity but just to inspire others to do good things. We just want to say that 'may other youth get inspired to do something good for the society'. It pains us when we see people suffer with hunger," Prajwal said.
