Udupi: Duo taken into custody for ganja consumption

Udupi, Sep 14: Based on information he received, Malpe assistant police sub-inspector, Sudhakar, went near a temple in Thenkanidiyoor village on Saturday September 12 and found a person who smelt of ganja in his mouth.

The person in question, identified as Arun (22), son of Narayan from Thenkanidiyoor, confessed to having consumed ganja. He was produced before the KMC Hospital forensic medicine specialists who confirmed that the man had consumed ganja. A case under the NDPS Act was registered against him.

On Saturday, Sudhakar found another person, Abhilash (21) son of Ashok Jathan, resident of Thenkanidiyoor village, who had consumed ganja. He too was produced in KMC Hospital where it was confirmed that he had consumed the drug. He too was booked under the NDPS Act.
