Kasargod, Sep 18: A protest march that was held by BJP Yuva Morcha district committee on Friday, September 18 demanding the resignation of tainted Manjeshwar MLC M C Qamaruddin turned violent. Police had to use water cannons to disperse the crowd.

One of the activists of BJP Yuva Morcha was injured in the scuffle. Activists of BJP Yuva Morcha approached the office of the district commissioner (DC) through Vidyanagar B C Road in a procession and tried to remove the barricades that were put up by the police in front of the DC office. Police had to use water cannons to control the mob. Anju Jose is one of the activists who was injured.



Later the stage programme of the protest was inaugurated by K Srikanth, district president of BJP. Dhananjaya Madhur, district president of BJP Yuva Morcha presided over the function.

Anju Jose, Sudhama Gosada, N Sathish, P R Sunil and Vijaykumar Rai led the protest.
