Mangaluru: Rotary Club Mulki celebrates Engineers' Day

Mangaluru, Sep 22: "Bharat Ratna awardee M Visvesvaraya's life is a model for all who made remarkable achievements in the engineering sector and served the country for its comprehensive development. His achievements were astounding and an ideal for everyone" said Prof Dr Uday Kumar of NITTE University.

He paid floral tribute to the portrait of M Visvesvaraya on the occasion of Engineers' Day celebration which was jointly organized by Mulky Rotary Club and Sharada Infradesign Private Limited Mulki held on Wednesday, September 16 at Rotary Shatabda Bhavan Karnad here.



Chief guest of the occasion, first Zone Captain of Rotary district 3181 Rtn M Narayan addressing the gathering said, "Many engineers have made great achievements and brought fame to this nation by serving across the world."

Administrative director of Sharada Infradesign Private Limited delivered the keynote address and talked about the importance of the day. The club honoured engineers from 30 villages with shawl and flower bouquet. Mulky Rotary club recognized the club members who are serving in the engineering field and their children pursuing engineering were felicitated on the same programme.

Prof Dr Uday Kumar G was honoured for his incredible service in the field.

Director of the career service division, Rtn Preetham Kumar was present on the dais.

Programme began with invocation by Rtn Varun. President of Rotary club Rtn Ashok Kumar welcomed the gathering and secretary Rtn Y N Salian proposed a vote of thanks.

Rtn PHF Raja Patravo , past assistant governor, Rtn PHF J C Salian and Rtn PHF Ravindra were present.
