Mangalore, Apr 22: Students Islamic Organisation (SIO) West region will hold Summer festival-2010 on April 24 and 25.
On Saturday April 24, various competitions will be held for children at K C Road Art school.Quiz, elocution, singing competition and drawing competition among others will be held.
Massive Marathon
As part of the fest, a massive marathon will be flagged off from Ambedkar circle near Jyothi Talkies here on Sunday April 25 at 7.30 am to spread message of peace and brotherhood. The marathon which will conclude at Nehru Maidan will witness participation of students from 11 to 14 years.
Winners will walk away with cash prize of Rs 1,500, Rs 1,000 and Rs 500, respectively.Deputy Commissioner V Ponnuraj, MLA U T Khader and other dignitaries are expected to take part in the programme.
