Kundapur, Nov 2: “Voluntary blood donation helps patients who need blood. The cooperation of blood donors is necessary for this. The demand for blood has increased due to coronavirus. There is no noble deed as valuable as donating blood. Blood donors should come forward and encourage others also to donate blood,” said Indian Red Cross Kundapur unit president, S Jayakar Shetty. He was speaking after inaugurating a free mass blood donation and ECG testing camp held under the leadership of Ganeshotsava committee Balkur at Balkur Higher Primary School on the eve of the Rajyotsava. Balkur Ganeshotsava honorary president, K Jayakar Shetty presided over the programme.

Karthik Scanning Centre Kundapur doctor, Dr G V Udupa gave an introduction. Indian Red Cross Kundapur unit vice-president, Dr Umesh Putran explained the importance of blood donation. Rotary Club Kundapur south president, Dr Uttam Kumar Shetty, Balkur Ganeshotsava committee president, Sadananda Balkur, Vishnumoorthi temple trustee, Sridhar Udupa, school alumni association president, Jayasheela Shetty, Nandikeshwara Bhajana mandali’s Krishnayya Shettigar, Balkur Kaluvinabagilu Ganeshotsava committee president, Krishnaraj were present.



Asha workers who worked as warriors during corona were honored in a special way. Bhasker Balkur welcomed the gathering. Udaya Balkur compered the programme.
