Kasargod: Bandiyod shootout - Police arrest two more

Kasargod, Nov 2: Kumble police have arrested two more men accused in the Bandiyod shooting and attempt-to-murder case. With the recent arrests, the number of persons held in this case has gone up to three.

The arrested are Lathif (30), a resident of Veeranagar, and Sahad (28), a resident of Bandiyod.

The prime accused Tikki Ammi alias Abdul Ameer was already arrested on Sunday, November 1.

Two years ago, Lathif along with another man was involved in the kidnapping of an individual identified as Altaf, a resident of Uppala Sonkal. The accused had taken Althaf in a car to Karnataka and killed him.

The incident of shootings, attempt-to-murder and damaging cars had taken place on Saturday morning.

Three cases have been registered in this connection against 13 people.
