M'luru: Film director Vishwanath Kodikal, others meet DC for approval to conduct cultural programmes

Mangaluru, Nov 6: Film director Vishwanath Kodikal, advocate Rithesh Bangera and former mayor Shashidhar Hegde together visited the deputy commissioner Dr Rajendra K V and requested his permission to perform dramas and cultural programmes in the district considering the hardships faced by various forms of artists for their living.

Karavali Karnataka Drama Artists Seva Parishat, Dakshina Kannada, Udupi and Kasargod district president Mohandas Kottari, chief secretary Rajesh Kannur, honorary advisor Vijay Kumar Kodialbail, founder members Ramesh Rai Kukkuvalli, Chidananda Adyapady, advocate Mohan Das Rai, Keith Furtado, film director Vishwanath Kodikal, advocate Rithesh Bangera, former mayor Shashidhar Hegde were present.

The deputy commissioner who received the appeal has permitted the artists to conduct dramas and cultural programmes while asking them to adhere to the Covid-19 guidelines imposed by the government.
