Mangaluru: Newly installed solar facility inaugurated at St Aloysius High School

Mangaluru, Nov 7: The newly installed Solar facility of St. Aloysius High School donated by the batch of 1974 was blessed and inaugurated on Saturday November 07.

Fr. Melwyn Pinto, SJ Rector St. Aloysius along with Fr. Gerald Furtado, Headmaster St. Aloysius High school and Clarance Periera inaugurated the newly installed solar power facility.

The Rs. 14.5lac project was entirely sponsored by the batch of 1974 of the school. A total of Rs. 16.5 lac was collected for the project by the alumnus. With the remaining amount the batch has decided to establish a scholarship for the students.

Speaking on the occasion Fr. Melwyn Pinto, Rector said "I feel proud about this batch. This project is a legacy of the institution. In every institution alumni plays a important role".

Fr. Praveen Martis, SJ Fr. Santhosh Kamath, SJ Fr. Melwyn, SJ Fr. Leo Dsouza, SJ Fr. Vincent Pinto, SJ and students of 1974 batch were present on the occasion.
