Ramanagara, Nov 9: The kidnapping of the son of a textile shop at Kanakapura acquired dramatic turns before ending on a happy note. The police in their investigation found that the teenager had played the abduction drama to make his parents cough up money.

The police found the boy from Tirupathi and reunited him with his parents at Kanakapura.

A 15-year-old son of a textile merchant at Kanakapura was kidnapped. The police got the complaint that demand for ransom of five lac ruplees was placed with the merchant. A photo of the boy confined in a toilet was provided to the parents.

The police who checked the mobile location, found that the boy was at Tirupathi. They went there, took the boy into posesion and questioned him. He revealed to the police that he wanted to escape from the constant pressure of his parents to study and also to earn easy money for is expenses. On his own, he had been to Tirupathi, tied himself with a rope, photographed the same, and sent to parents. he admitted.

As he is a minor, the police have handed him over to the parents without any hassle.
