Bantwal: MLA urges people to conduct honest banking operations, repay loans

Bantwal, Nov 10: Bantwal MLA, Rajesh Naik Ulippady, advised people to remain thankful to the banks after availing loans from them and not to forget them. At the same time, he asked the bank staff not to neglect customers who approach them for various transactions.

He was speaking at a programme of accepting petitions about grievances relating to banking services and to providing information about people-friendly schemes of the central government. The programme was held at the hall of Rangoli Hotel at B C Road on Monday November 9.

Officials of national banks were present. They gave a patient hearing to the problems enumerated by the people. Rajesh Naik Ulippady who presided over the programme, said that benefits of several schemes of the government can be availed promptly if the relationship between the customers and banks is cordial. He said that his office will act as a link between the banks and the customers.

Chairman of Karnataka State Electronics Development Corporation Ltd, Harikrishna Bantwal, advised the bank employees to work with devotion with the understanding that they serve the country.

Zilla panchayat president, Meenakshi Shantigodu, asked people to make the best use of the various schemes. The assistant director of the district institute of education and training, Vivekananda, manager of Pradhan Mantri Swanidhi Abhiyan, Irene, Venkatesh, and Jayant Shetty explained about the various issues.

District-led bank head, Praveen, who listened to the customer grievances, explained about the various schemes the customers can easily avail and the benefits of the present technology used by banks.

Coksultant of Finance Literacy Centre, Latesh, welcomed, Lead Bank employee, Gireesh, proposed the vote of thanks. On this occasion, the MLA distributed loan facilities to street vendors. The chief officer of the municipality, Leena Brintto, and Umavathi, were present. Bantwal Urban Development Authority chairman, B Devadas Shetty, managers of the various banks, farmers and entrepreneurs were present.
