Udupi: Woman accuses grandson of stealing gold worth Rs 2.5 lac

Udupi, Nov 10: A woman living near Padmashrama Sarveshwari temple at Malpe Babhuthota, Kodavoor has filed a complaint in Malpe police station alleging that the gold ornaments belonging to her which were kept inside an almirah at her home had been stolen by her grandson and his friends.

The complainant identified as Janaki said that she had attended a programme at Padukere on November 1. She had worn four golden bangles and two neck chains. When she opened the almirah on November 7 just before leaving her home to visit Kateel temple and found that her ornaments had gone missing. She said she questioned her relatives and family members and did not get any clue where her ornaments had gone.

She has said that she suspects that her grandson, Likhit alias Guru and his friends would have stolen the ornaments.
