Bantwal, Nov 10: Bantwal block Congress president Baby Kunder has urged arrest and strict legal action against BJP district vice president and Keonics president Harikrishna Bantwal over his communally inciting speech and those who posted the speech on social media. He has submitted a plea to Bantwal town police station SI Avinash in this connection. “The fictitious statement against former minister Ramanath Rai has put him in a bad light due to which he is facing a threat to his life,” he said.

“Police have arrested the murder suspects of Sharath Madiwal and the case is under investigation. But Harikrishna Bantwal has portrayed the former minister in the position of the accused and tried to malign his image,” he alleged.

Baby Kunder and Congress party activists walked in protest from Congress party office to the police station and demanded that Harikrishna Bantwal who blamed the minister for the murder and those who posted the offensive video in social media be arrested.

Panemangalore block president Sudeep Shetty, district panchayat member Chandraprakash Shetty Tumbe, Padmashekar Jain, M S Mohammed, taluk panchayat president Chandrahas Karkera, vice president Abbas Ali, standing committee president Mallika V Shetty, municipal council president Sharif, vice president Jacintha, Mayilappa Salian, Gangadhar Poojary, Venkappa Poojary, Mohammed Nandavara, Siddiq Guddeyangadi, Janardhan Chendthimar, Sudarshan Jain and others were present.
