Mangaluru, Nov 12: On account of World Diabetes Day on November 14, A J Hospital & Research Centre is offering 50% on the diabetic care packages from November 14 to 30. The packages covering various blood investigations, diabetes foot tests and consultation with specialists, priced at Rs 7,000, Rs 4,500 and Rs 3,500 per person will be offered at a 50% discount. Consultant Endocrinologists Dr Ganesh H K and Dr Kishan Delampady, consultant physician, Dr Shilpa Mulki and Plastic, Reconstructive Surgeon and Podiatrician Dr Sanath Bhandary will be available for consultation.

Diabetes is a major disease that causes life-threatening complications like heart attack, stroke and various infections. Other complications like kidney failure, nerve problems, visual impairment/loss and gangrene of the foot are some of the major problems faced. Though the complications are very much preventable, people neglect the diabetic status and do not monitor as required.
