Udupi: Vehicles heavier than 12 tonnes banned on Agumbe ghats

Udupi, Nov 13: Vehicles heavier than 12 tonnes are banned on NH169 Thirthahalli-Udupi-Mangaluru Agumbe road as per the orders issued by DC on occasions of heavy rain.

The vehicles are directed to proceed on alternative route Udupi-Brahmavar-Barkur-Shankaranarayana-Siddapur-Hosangadi-Hulikal or Ghats-Hosanagara-Thirthahalli and Udupi-Karkala-Bajagoli- SK Border-Kerekatte-Hulikal on such days.

Traffic will be allowed on regular routes when there is no rain.
