Udupi: Rs 55 lac scam - Cheating case filed against former EO of credit coop society

Udupi, Nov 14: A case is filed in the CEN crime police station of the city accusing Aaron Donald Victor (36), a resident of Korangrapady, who was the executive officer (EO) of Udupi Protestant Christian Credit Cooperative society of misusing Rs 55.25 lac, along with his wife Clara Saraswati Juliet by faking the signature of president of the society.

As per the complaint filed by Jeevan S Andrews, the main office of the cooperative society had fixed deposit accounts in IDBI and Axis banks. The EO of the society created fake records of loan and used Rs 55,25,945 for his personal use from the society account.

According to the complainant, the accused accepted his guilt and agreed to return the amount to the society with interest. Accordingly, it is alleged that the accused gave a cheque of Rs 61,83,195 to the society on June 20. However, this cheque also got bounced.
