Mangaluru: Bhandavya takes step toward good governance

Mangaluru, Nov 14: Bandhavya® on November 12 organized a motivational programme for partner NGOs and self-help group members coming within the MCC limits/jurisdiction in CODP-ISD Mangaluru.

The purpose was to encourage the participants to become members of the Mangaluru City Corporation Ward committee and thereby engage themselves in good governance.

Fr Oswald Monteiro, the director of CODP and secretary of Bandhavya welcomed the participants and delivered the keynote address.



Nigel Albuquerque, member of the Mangalore City Civic group, being the resource person spoke about the need, composition, territorial area, functions of the ward committee and procedure for filling in the applications. Thereafter, he clarified the queries raised and motivated all the participants to render their services towards good governance.

Lenet Gonsalves, the programme manager of CODP delivered the vote of thanks.
