Bengaluru: Government to open its own salons in rural areas

Daijiworld Media Network - Bengaluru (SP)

Bengaluru, Nov 16: Even Though the country is heading to celebrate the diamond jubilee of its independence, atrocities on scheduled castes and tribes have not stopped. Often we hear about incidents of denying access to drinking water, entry into temples, and services at salons to the people belonging to lower castes and communities. The social welfare department, which has considered this, has come up with a unique proposal.

The plan is to open a salon by the government in each gram panchayat level. Final seal of approval is needed for this purpose. The department plans to solidly support people from scheduled castes and tribes by opening these salons in every gram panchayats. Senior officials of the department noted that there have been cases where salons located in villages and revenue divisions hesitate from serving people belonging to scheduled castes and tribes. They said that the proposal has been prepared as the salons cater to the needs of these people.

Detailed debate on the pros and cons of the new system are yet to be held. The chief minister has been alerted about such a move, and the idea will be implemented only after detailed discussions. As per the proposal, the gram panchayats will be entrusted with the work of identifying barbers to whom the social welfare department can sanction grants. It is yet to be decided whether the existing barbers can be used for the purpose, or new units have to be established.

The government also is considering the muzrai department, police and revenue officials to work with mutual understanding to see that incidents of refusing entry for scheduled castes and tribes into temples do not happen. In the past, the government had planned to set up special courts in nine districts where Dalit atrocity cases are on the rise. But the proposal was rejected by the high court. Now the government wants to move this proposal again for these nine districts.

When Dr. Manmohan Singh was the PM, people were aspiring to be Scientists, Engineers, Medical Professionals, CA's, Manufacturers, but after Modi came in with his set of regressive economic policies, youth are taking up odd jobs such as selling Tea, selling Pakoda, Coolie and Barber to just survive.

While cutting hair, barber asked Modi what is this promise of 15 lakhs. Modi asked him whether he is a barber or politician, Barber said he would not ask henceforth. With Amith Shah, he asked what is this promise of acche din and kala dhan. Shah asked him why he is asking that.

Next day, CBI came to the barber and asked whether he is the agent of Congress or AAP. CBI asked him why he is inquiring about these sensitive issues.

Barber said "Sir, I do not know why, but whenever I ask this question to them, their hair gets straight and it becomes easy for me to cut the hair".

    Good initiative by B.S. Yeddi
The minimum qualification to get a salon permit should be RSS, BJP, or it's a gang member.
Must be graduate and will donate 50% to CM fund.
They must agree to cut hair free before the election and increase the price after winning the election.
Non-BJP members are not allowed to enter the salon.
What a great idea by Modi through B.S.

Very good thinking. Hope not only on words than in actual action. Every person need a job to survive whether higher caste or lower caste or caste less person. It is better to create a jobs for a human being than Caste or religion based. Offer incentives to people who are interested in start a business than segregation basis. To prosper the nation requires opportunities to youth without bias with equal opportunity

Here too the main objective is to eradicate untouchability rather than promoting employment. These saloons will be opened to all castes.

Due to handling of government institutions I.e airindia, railways, lic, nationalized banks etc, all are running in loss.... now they have to try small businesses I.e pan beedy shops, hair cutting saloons, tailoring shops, somos and pakoda shops.
Most of our leaders are fit for that business.

By this action government is indirectly supporting the caste / discrimination.
We are going reverse in social justice. We need to educate the people regarding human rights, after all everyone is human being. Need a strict law to abolish this and those who are still practicing discrimination should be brought to justice.

If something is benefiting people whats the problem with that? Are you saying that pakora sellers or hair dressers are not worthy for you? Remember one thing no matter what you need to go get your job done by the same people so give some respect.

It's not because of giving jobs to unemployed. The reason is that most of our politicians are above 70 years old. They got facilities of security guards, free transportation ,free accommodations, free electricity, etc from tax payers money but they have spend money to cut or colour their hair. Government want free salons service for these politicians .
