Udupi, 18 November 2020: Dr TMA Pai Hospital Udupi, restarted all the previously available in-patient services along with elective surgeries and deliveries from 16 November, 2020. Emergency services are also functional as usual.

The hospital played a pivotal role in the management of COVID-19 patients of Udupi district from April onwards because of which all other services were stopped. As a first phase, OPD services at the hospital were restarted from 15 October itself. In this second phase, all other remaining services including the Casualty reopened from 16 November, as the initial surge of the pandemic appears to have reduced now.

The hospital is following strict infection control protocols from the beginning of the pandemic and will continue the infection control practices for the safety of all patients.
