Kaup, Nov 19: A person riding a scooty hit a trolley attached to the backside of a tractor that was parked at Kanjarakatte near here on Wednesday November 18 afternoon. The rider was trying to avoid hitting a dog that crossed his path when the accident happened.
The rider suffered serious injuries in the accident and died when being taken to hospital. The pillion rider also suffered extensive injuries.
The deceased was Rajdeep Gope (30), a native of Tripura. The pillion rider was Ranjan Tiwary (25) from Kolkata. Ranjan is being treated in a private hospital at Mangaluru.
