Mangaluru, Nov 23: Mangaluru City Corporation (MCC) has developed a new App to do away with the issues faced by public to get new trade licence for doing business in the city. It will be available for service from January 2021.

Traders can apply for trade licence through this app. The required fee can be paid through net banking, debit or credit card. This app can be downloaded on the phone. Applications for new licence, renewal of licence and cancellation of licence can be done through this app. The status of the application can also be seen in this app.

This new app consists of 10 categories including service centres, office, industry, hospital, market, auditorium, automobile showroom, spare parts etc. After selecting the corresponding category, records and photos can be uploaded in the sub category. Along with three photographs of the place of business, the trader needs to send his or her selfie. This will make the officers of MCC to identify the business place through Jio tagging which is in the new app.

Environment engineer Madhu of MCC said, "Training of officers with regards to this app is already complete. Now training is being offered to traders. Helpline is opened in MCC office till January to resolve the issues pertaining to the app."
