Bengaluru, Dec 9: Former city mayor Sampath Raj, who has been arrested for his alleged involvement with fomenting trouble in DJ Halli and KG Halli here, has filed a petition in the state high court seeking bail.
The city crime branch police had arrested Sampath Raj relating to the riots in the two places. He had been remanded to judicial custody by the court.
An application moved by him earlier in the sessions court was dismissed. Therefore, he has knocked at the doors of the high court.
