Bantwal, Dec 11: A man died on Friday December 11 after he was struck by lightning at Sarthakodi, Karopady village in Vittal.
The deceased is identified as Chandappa Mulya.
The incident took place after 12.30 am. In the incident Chandappa Mulya was severely injured. Though he was rushed to the hospital, he breathed his last as did not respond to the treatment.
Even the house was damaged as the intensity of lighting was severe. Several electronic items got damaged in the lightning.
Officials of the revenue department and police visited the spot.
