Bengaluru, Dec 12: State minister for primary and secondary education S Suresh Kumar lamented the fact that the mutual trust and emotional bonding the parents and schools were sharing are facing danger because of the coronavirus pandemic. He felt that the role of the schools in removing this gap and mistrust is crucial.

He was speaking at the 26th annual e-conference of Sahodaya School Complexes organised by Bengaluru Sahodaya and CBSE. He said that the relationship shared by the parents and schools is sacred as the main aim of both of them is the robust growth of the children. He therefore felt that the foundation of this emotional relationship should be solid, he said.

He opined that from the point of view of the children and their parents, schools are their second home. Therfore, he said, cementing this emotional bond is required in the best interests of the children and the nation.

Union education minister Ramesh Pokhriyal, speaking after inaugurating the conference said that the National Education Policy of India has comein for appreciation the world over. He said that India alone has the power to provide stability to everyone, to accept and absorb things. He said that India is the guru for the world being the first to introduce the concept of education in one's life.

He recalled that Taxila, Magadha and Nalanda Universities were from India and brilliant people like Aryabhata, Kautilya, Nagarjuna, Bhaskara, Charaka and many others took birth in India.
