Bengaluru, Dec 13: The session of the legislative council, which was postponed indefinitely by chairman Pratapchandra Shetty, will be held on December for one day as per the instructions of the state government. This brings an end to the tussle between the members of the legislative council and chairman.

BJP is eager to discuss the matter of removal of Pratapchandra Shetty from the post of chairman during the one-day session. However, Congress is also ready to take legal action on the subject. The statement of JD(S) that it will give its opinion during the session has created a sensation among the political observers of the state.

There is no clarity whether the anti-cow slaughter bill will be presented in the council on Tuesday itself. Speaking on the issue of removal of the chairman of the legislative council, former CM Kumaraswamy said, "If the no-confidence motion against the chairman of the legislative council is taken up for discussion on Tuesday, council members and senior leaders of our party will discuss and take suitable action."
