Sullia, Dec 14: Staff of a private school sexually harassed a minor girl in the taluk.

This incident occurred on December 10. Anil, a resident of Devachalla village of the taluk is the accused, who is under suspension now.

Subramanya police informed that Anil promised to buy a new bicycle for the minor girl and sexually harassed her on the pretext of teaching her how to ride a bicycle.

Anil is working as a supervisor in the private school at Yelimale. Anil and the father of the victim are friends. The minor girl informed her parents about the harassment after she returned home. The parents promptly conveyed the matter to the administrative committee of the school. The committee, which came to know that the parents of the victim are going to register a complaint at the police station, suspended Anil from work.

The mother of the minor girl, a victim of sexual harassment, filed a complaint at Subramanya police station. The complaint is filed under section 376, under 5, 6 and 10 of the POCSO act of 2012. Further investigation is on.
