Kasargod, Dec 16: The votes of local body elections here will be counted from 12 am on December 15 till 12 am on December 17. In order to prevent any untoward incidents from taking place Section 144 has been enforced in sensitive places. Gathering in groups, processions etc are banned.

The orders apply in Manjeshwar police station, Uppala, Manjeshwar, Hosangadi, Kunjathur, Bovikanam of Adoor police station limits, Hiriyanna, Adooru, Bandyodu of Kumble police station limits, Adka, Seethangoli, Uluvaru, Mogral, Bombrana, Kasargod town limits, Kasargod police station limits, Melparamba, Vidya Nagar, Kanhangad, Ajanur, Bekal police station limits, Periya gram panchayat, Padanna of Chandera police station limits, Pilicode gram panchayat and Nileshwar police station and town limits.
