Udupi: KMC, Rotary Club, Join Hands to Organize Health Camp in Shirva

“The free health camps which are organized by social welfare organizations serve as a boon to the poorest people in society as medical experts are available for consultation and further treatments are available for free or at subsidized rates”, said Dr Girish Gowda, medical officer, Shirva community health center.
 


Dr Gowda was speaking after inaugurating the free health check-up camp which was held at Shirva community health center on Sunday May 30. The health camp was jointly organized by community health center, Rotary Club Shirva, and KMC Hospital, Mangalore.
 
Natesh, PRO, KMC Hospital, Mangalore, provided information on healthcare facilities available for the general public at their hospital and introduced the doctors who participated in the free health check-up camp.
 
Shirva Rotary Club president Edwin Rodrigues presided over the programme and welcomed the gathering.
 
Senior physician Dr K R Venkatakrishna and KMC Hospital’s Dr Jayashree were also present. 
 
Shirva Rotary Club secretary K R Patkar proposed the vote of thanks. William Machado compered the programme. 
 
Many people availed of the free consultation by veteran surgeons of various disciplines and the healthcare facilities at the camp.
