Mangalore, Jul 19: A Tulu play was staged in aid of the poor students’ fund at Town Hall under the aegis of Muloor Geleyara Balaga here on Sunday July 18. A felicitation programme was also held on the occasion.
The Tulu play ‘Munne Dane Incha’ was staged by Vishwachethana drama troupe, in aid of the poor students’ fund. Congress leader Harsharaj Mudya inaugurated the programme.
Sharada Education Institutions correspondent M B Puranik presided over the programme.
MLA U T Khader, Press Club chief secretary P B Harish Rai, and Konaje sub-inspector Sunil B Patil were the chief guests on the occasion.
Internationally acclaimed Yakshagana artiste P V Paramesh, social activists Satyapal Rai Kadenja, Jagdish Alva Nadiguttu and Rajesh Shetty Fajirguttu, as well as Pavoor gram panchayat president Mohammed Monu were felicitated during the programme.
Prakash Shetty Dharmanagar, Manjunath Rai Muloor, and journalist Dinesh Ira were also present.
