Mangalore: Thief Held, Three New Motor Bikes Recovered

Mangalore, Jul 20: Pandeshwar police arrested Mohammed Faizal (21), a resident of Baitul House in New Kody, Ullal, and recovered three new motor bikes from his possession on Monday July 19.

Two of the vehicles recovered are of Honda Unicorn make, while the other happens to be a Bajaj Pulsar. All these vehicles are new. The arrested person confessed that he stole one of the Unicorn bikes from near Sturrock Road in the city, another from Udupi, while the Bajaj Pulsar was stolen from KMC premises in Manipal. The policemen have also learnt that he used duplicate keys to steal the two-wheelers.

The policemen chanced upon the thief when they stopped him while riding one of the two wheelers from near Makalaipadpu here on Monday July 19 on suspicion, and questioned him about the records of the vehicle. Faizal had kept the other two vehicles in the house of his elder sister in Kalladka.

On producing the accused in the court, he was remanded to 15 days of judicial custody. Inspector Tilakchandra, and sub-inspector, Rame Gowda, along with other personnel, were involved with the operation.
