Mangalore, Jul 20: ‘Terrorist,’ a unique play on war against terrorism and on national integrity will be performed by the Beary Changyaimar troupe at Town Hall here on Friday July 23 at 6 pm.

Director, script writer and actor Rahim Uchil speaking to the press said that the cast of the play includes two women from the Beary community who are also his relatives.

Muslim women have so far been restricted from acting in movies and plays and the aim was to change this trend, he said, and added that the play would also be an answer to all those who question the non-involvement of Muslim women in stage productions, and thereby an experiment in creating gender equality.

Shree Devi Educational Trust president Sadananda Shetty will inaugurate the programme while founder-president of Karavali Group of Colleges Ganesh Rao will preside. Entry will be free for all.

Artistes Ismail Tannirbavi, Ismail Moodshedde, Sherif Katipalla and Riyaz Harekala were present.

Looks like Mr. Rahim Uchil is in deep coma. He says muslim women have so far been restricted from acting in movies and plays. Wake-up Mr. Uchil, there are thousands of muslim women acting in Bollywood and other regional movies and serials.
