Shimoga: ‘Ministry Expansion in August’ - Yeddyurappa

Daijiworld Media Network – Shimoga (SP)

Shimoga, Jul 21: Addressing a press conference after offering ‘Bagina’ to the water reservoir in Anjanapur village of Shikaripura taluk in the district on Tuesday July 20, state Chief Minister, B S Yeddyurappa, announced that his ministry would be expanded after the expiry of ‘Asadha’ month. He said that the ministry expansion this time is going to happen without doubt.

He however, refused to be drawn into speculations as to who will be inducted and who will face the axe. When questioned about the possible inclusion of Halappa in the ministry, he asked the media men in a dissenting tone, not to raise such questions.

The Chief Minister has already been given a free hand by national BJP president, Nitin Gadkari, in this respect. There is speculation in political circles that a few independent legislators, who were accommodated in the ministry to bring BJP to power, may be shown the door. While Reddy brothers will not have to worry about their positions for the time being, a few ministers, who are found to be inefficient, may also be dropped, it is being said. While V Somanna and Shobha Karandlaje, who were forced to resign under compelling circumstances, are sure to return to the ministry, several other aspirants are also lobbying hard for ministerial berths, it is gathered.
